WORK

DANCING N01

DANCING N01 is an evolving body of work rooted in movement—not only as a physical act but as a conceptual methodology that guides my process. At its core, this project reflects a cyclical rhythm of experimentation, where creation and transformation are inseparable. I don’t seek resolution or a definitive outcome; instead, I embrace a practice grounded in ritual, persistence, and presence.

Each piece I make unfolds through phases of cutting, dyeing, sewing, painting, and reworking—actions that speak to the fluidity between construction and deconstruction. These gestures are not simply about manipulating material; they become a way for me to question the stability of form, identity, and authorship. In this process, destruction becomes a form of building, and building becomes a kind of release. There’s a continual negotiation between control and surrender, one that drives both the making and the meaning.

I work primarily with natural materials—not only for their physical properties but because they act as collaborators in the process. The interaction between my body, the fabric, and movement forms a kind of therapeutic exchange. Through this embodied engagement, I access emotional release, introspection, and discovery. The work resists finality; it values evolution and response. It’s always becoming.

Conceptually, DANCING N01 is an inquiry into what it means to leave a mark—both literal and symbolic—on the material world. I’m interested in how we shape and are shaped by the environments we move through, and how the act of creation mirrors that exchange. This project is ultimately about presence, impermanence, and the ways we claim space through gesture. To dance, to move, and to make is, for me, a way of continually negotiating my place in the world—tracing meaning through motion and transformation.
